Outdoor durability
EPDM is a principal industrial elastomer for components exposed to ozone, UV and changing weather conditions when the full application is suitable.
A technical reference for Hamta Polymer EPDM compounds from 40 to 80 Shore A. EPDM is commonly evaluated for water, weathering, ozone and outdoor sealing applications. Compatibility with mineral oils and hydrocarbon fuels must be assessed separately because EPDM is not generally selected for those media.

EPDM is a principal industrial elastomer for components exposed to ozone, UV and changing weather conditions when the full application is suitable.
The material family is frequently assessed for water-facing seals and elevated-temperature aqueous service, with compound and process conditions confirmed for the application.
EPDM should not be selected for mineral oil or hydrocarbon-fuel exposure simply on the basis of its material code. Use NBR, HNBR or FKM only after technical review where appropriate.

This is an orientation aid, not a final compatibility approval. Confirm the specific medium, concentration, temperature and exposure cycle with the technical team.
Values are typical laboratory guidance for the stated test methods. Finished-part results can vary with formulation, cure, geometry and production conditions.
EPDM is commonly assessed for ozone, UV and weather exposure, making it relevant for outdoor sealing, building joints and weather-facing components.
Compression set should be validated at the actual operating temperature, strain and time profile of the final assembly.
EPDM is not a default choice for mineral oils or hydrocarbon fuels. Evaluate a suitable alternative with the technical team before approving the material.
These product families can be explored from the English product hub. Suitability is determined by the final application, not by the material code alone.
